Outdoors.org Link Policy

Inbound Links to Outdoors.org:

Linking to Outdoors.org is permitted with the following limitations:

  • You may not capture Outdoors.org pages within frames or present Outdoors.org content as your own. Only plain text references are permissible unless the linking party has entered under a specific written marketing agreement with the AMC. Without such an agreement, AMC’s logos, designs, images, photographs, slogans, trademarks or other branding elements may not be used in or with the party’s links.
  • You may not state or imply that the Appalachian Mountain Club or Outdoors.org is endorsing your product, site, or services.
  • The AMC will not guarantee reciprocal links on Outdoors.org (see Linking Policy below).

Links from Outdoors.org:

The Appalachian Mountain Club no longer offers a general link resources page. If your site is relevant to a current initiative, advocacy effort or AMC program, we may implement a link to your site on our own initiative.

Sites that meet the following criteria may be considered for inclusion on Outdoors.org:

  • The site’s owner or sponsor has entered into a formal (written) marketing and/or advertising agreement with the AMC.
  • The site’s owner or sponsor is an AMC partner for a particular advocacy campaign or strategic initiative.
  • The site’s owner or sponsor is a corporate partner of the AMC, providing funding or resources for AMC events and/or programs.

Please note the AMC does not encourage link requests and, in particular, we ask that you not contact us with commercial product promotion requests.
