AMC Leadership and Volunteer Relations Director Alex Kosseff was highlighted in the widely read Boston Metro. The article provided general information about the AMC and its programs, and invited readers to learn new skills through the AMC's Outdoor Adventures and Workshops, and to become AMC members.


AMC guided hikes featured

The Boston Herald devoted a feature story to the AMC's Guided Hut-to-Hut Adventures, which provide hikers with the opportunity to participate in hikes in New Hampshire's White Mountains with AMC guides, using the AMC huts as overnight destinations.


Grafton Loop Trail on TV

The AMC's work on the Grafton Loop Trail was filmed by WMTW-TV, Portland, Maine's ABC affiliate. The first major trail constructed by the AMC since 1976, this new 42-mile loop will connect scenic peaks and provide an alternative to the adjacent Appalachian Trail for multi-day backpacking trips. The trail construction is a cooperative project of the AMC, the Maine Appalachian Trail Club, the Maine Conservation Corps, and the Maine Bureau of Parks and Lands. Completion is set for fall 2004.
