AMC provides safety info for hiking Mount Washington

The Fine Living Network this summer filmed AMC's volunteer trail crew hard at work on Mount Washington for a "Back to Basics" segment airing on cable TV this fall.


Other October headlines

  • In The Union Leader, an article called "Outdoors with the AMC" focused on fall hiking safety and included a sidebar with a recommended gear list from this AMC Website, Oct. 25.
  • AMC Young Members were the focus of a Washington Times feature story on hiking and meeting others who enjoy the outdoors, Oct. 20.
  • Northeastern Wilds' author Steve Gorman was interviewed on WMWV radio's Drive Time program, and this new AMC book was highlighted in a number of newspaper columns, Oct. 9.
  • The AMC's work in helping to create the Grafton Loop Trail in western Maine was highlighted in a Boston Globe story on trail work in the region, Oct. 4.
  • Volunteer Education Coordinator Nancy Ritger provided expert information in a multi-page feature story about hiking with small children in the Lexington Herald-Leader (KY), Oct. 3.
