AMC helps rescue endangered plant

The AMC was an integral partner in the recovery of the Robbins' cinquefoil, a native plant of the White Mountains' alpine zone. The AMC helped lead the recovery effort over the course of a twenty-two-year period in partnership with the New England Wildflower Society and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. The plant was officially removed from the federal Endangered Species List on Aug. 28. The story was also covered by the Associated Press, CNN Headline News, and multiple regional media outlets. AMC uses public service announcement to promote safety in the mountains

The AMC partnered with Boston Public Radio's (WBUR) Ted O'Brien to create a public service announcement in support of hiking preparation and safety. The public service announcement cited the AMC, and its Website, as expert sources for outdoor information.
