A feature article on the construction of the Grafton Loop Trail appeared in this magazine, and it included information about the collaborative group effort responsible for the trail. It also covered the AMC's role in the development and construction of the new trail. In addition, a map developed by the AMC Research Department appeared in the article.

In an article in the "Fitness Front" section of this magazine, AMC member Vicki Beerman highlighted her experience of hiking with a group through as a result of her AMC membership. Beerman mentioned that the AMC allows her to hike without all the planning. Beerman also mentioned that she enjoys the challenge of hiking with a group.

In this newspaper's Summer Guide to Mt. Washington Valley, AMC outdoor workshops, interpretive natural history programs, meals, lodging, and hiking information were highlighted in an article, "Day Tripping at the AMC: Explore Pinkham Notch." The article reviewed many amenities and public services provided by the AMC at its Pinkham Notch Visitor Center in the White Mountain National Forest.

National Trails Day gets some ink

The "Outdoors with the AMC" column in The Union Leader focused on upcoming trail maintenance opportunities in the Granite State during National Trails Day on June 7. In particular, AMC staff and volunteer work was in the spotlight, including New Hampshire projects such as rock work on Square Ledge, bog bridge building at Lost Pond, and various projects along Davis Path.
