Laurie Gabriel, Chair
Laurie Gabriel chairs the Search Committee and is the Chair of AMC’s Board of Directors. She also serves on the Board of Trustees of Tufts University. Laurie retired from Wellington Management Company in 2008, where she served as one of three Managing Partners, the first woman to be elected to this position.

Rick Burnes
Rick is a long-time member of AMC’s Board of Advisors. He was Chair of the Boston Museum of Science for eight years and led that organization through a major leadership change. He co-founded Charles River Ventures in 1970. Rick serves as Chairman, The Entrepreneur’s Foundation of New England; Vice-Chair, Sea Education Association; and Director, The Boston Foundation. 

Delia Clark
Delia is in her sixth year on AMC’s Board of Directors and co-chairs the Board’s Education Committee. She is a Principal at Confluence Associates where her work focuses on engaging citizens in their communities through place-based education, community visioning, dialogue, and school/community partnerships. She is a frequent trainer, speaker, and facilitator in these areas for organizations that include the National Park Service, Appalachian Trail Conservancy, Shelburne Farms, QLF/Atlantic Center for the Environment, and US Forest Service. 

Birgitta Dickerson
Gitta is in her sixth year as Secretary of AMC’s Board of Directors. A lawyer and mother of three, Gitta has worked in government and private practice, most recently as Associate General counsel at the Boston Consulting Group, an international strategy and management consulting firm. Birgitta serves on AMC’s Education Committee. Birgitta is a member of the Board of Directors of the Victim Rights Law Center in Boston, and has served as a Board member for the Massachusetts Black Women Attorneys and the Legal Resource Center. 

John Dolloff
John is serving his fifth year as a Director. While serving on the Board, he was Chair of the Maine Chapter and Chair of the Chapters Committee. John has been an active trip leader and chapter committee member and is now raising his young daughter to be active in AMC. John works in the Portland, Maine office of UBS. 

Elizabeth Ehrenfeld
Elizabeth is Vice Chair of AMC’s Board. She teaches microbiology at Southern Maine Community College. She moved to Maine to work for IDEXX Laboratories where she developed diagnostic tests for the food industry. She is a founding member of Mainely Women in Science, and currently serves on the board of the Biotech Association of Maine. She is also a member of the Maine Board of Environmental Protection. Elizabeth is a Registered Maine Guide and a past President of Portland Trails. 

Laura Johnson
Laura has served as the President of Mass Audubon since 1999. Previously, she was Vice President of the Northeast Division of The Nature Conservancy. Laura serves on the Board of Directors of the Land Trust Alliance, and is a member of the corporation of Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute. She is a past member of the boards of Mount Auburn Cemetery, the Fenn School, and the Winsor School. 

Marion McCollom Hampton
Marion served on AMC’s Board of Directors for six years in the 1990s, and has been a frequent advisor to AMC on organizational issues. She is a Senior Partner with Cambridge Advisors to Family Enterprise. Marion was on the Organizational Behavior faculty of Boston University's School of Management from 1986 to 1997. She taught in the executive, MBA, doctoral, and undergraduate programs at the school and served for three years as Faculty Director of the MBA Program, responsible for launching the school’s new MBA curriculum. 

John Macomber
John served twelve years on AMC’s Board of Directors and was Vice President for the past five. He is a Senior Lecturer in Real Estate at Harvard Business School. His professional background includes leadership roles in real estate, construction, services, and technology businesses. He is the former Chairman and CEO of the George B H Macomber Company. Prior to HBS, John was a lecturer at MIT in Civil Engineering and Real Estate. John is active with Young Presidents Organization (YPO), Boys and Girls Clubs of Boston, and Mount Auburn Hospital.

Wayne Thornbrough
Wayne is a longtime AMC member, has completed his 4,000 footers and has served as the Treasurer and a Board member of AMC for four years. Wayne retired as the Managing Director of Global Growth Equities for UBS Asset Management. He now serves on the Board of JustCare a medical and mental health care provider for detention centers.
