It’s begun, the 2016 trails season in the Whites! The crew of 19 started May 23 and patrols started soon after experiencing minimal blow downs along our 365 miles of trail we maintain, nothing in the Mahoosucs or the Carters compared to 2015. This week heralds the start of our woods weeks and a mop up crew on patrols. You’ll be able to see the crews hard at work all over the Whites and in the Mahoosucs; Mahoosuc Trail (Goose Eye East Peak to Mahoosuc Notch), Crawford Path, Sabbaday and Champney Falls, and Nineteen Mile Brook Trail are where we’re focusing out efforts this summer. We’re excited for the summer because the means we get to spend time in the woods rebuilding sections of our popular trails system.
