Get out, get dirty, and give back this Saturday, June 3rd at the Highland Center in Crawford Notch as we celebrate National Trails Day!
AMC staff crew leaders will work with groups of volunteers to accomplish a variety of trail projects within hiking distance of the Highland Center. Projects range in difficulty, and all are welcome to join – no prior experience necessary. We’ll meet at the Highland Center at 8:30 AM to introduce the projects and crew leaders, cover safety and tool use, and then crews will hike out to their project site. After spending the day on the trail, crews will be welcomed back mid-afternoon with a BBQ celebration. Bring work gloves, lunch, snacks, and water, and wear sturdy closed-toe shoes, pants, and layers for changing weather.
For more information or to register, contact Amanda Peterson, AMC North Country Trails Volunteer Programs Supervisor at firstname.lastname@example.org or 603-466-8128.
