Located in the Mahoosuc section of the Appalachian Trail, over its time this sign directed and greeted day and overnight hikers en route to the spectacular scenery of Speck Pond. Also, throughout its life in the field, it guided AT thru hikers on their travels south to warmer weather. At this sign they have many more miles to come, with Mahoosuc Notch looming in the future. It is one of few AMC- Appalachian Trail Signs. This sign was replaced in order to be updated with mileage to the newly constructed Grafton Loop Trail.
