Acadia National Park Crews
Help rehabilitate and care for the trails at Acadia National Park. Crews take day trips from the AMC’s Echo Lake Camp and have a day to explore Acadia and Mount Desert Island.  This Base Camp style crew is the perfect way to enjoy all Acadia has to offer!

Alpine & Mount Washington Crews
Learn more about trail maintenance in the fragile yet often harsh conditions of the alpine zone on one of these Classic style, Spike style, or Base Camp style crews.  Weather is an important factor and may prevent a crew from working exclusively above treeline. Participants should have experience with above-treeline weather extremes and dress accordingly.

Baxter State Park Crews
Work in Maine's uniquely protected backcountry for four days and enjoy the final day exploring on your own.  This Base Camp style crew is a great way to experience Baxter State Park!

Mount Greylock Trail Crews
Work on this Base Camp style crew in Massachusetts, on one of the state's most beautiful and well-known mountains!

Teen Crews   (One- and two-weeks, all styles!)
Exclusively for teens - our most popular summer activity! The two-week White Mountain Spike style crew for 16-18 year-olds is an awesome summer challenge for teens wanting to live and work in the backcountry while learning about trail work. This crew includes a weekend of rockclimbing and another outdoor activity.  We recommend some backpacking experience for this two-week crew. The one-week White Mountain Classic style crew for 15-17 year-old teens is a great way to spend a rewarding week in the White Mountains of New Hampshire and meet new friends too!  This crew will be working a variety of projects such as rock steps, drainage, bog bridges or Alpine work.  We also offer a number of one-week teen crews out in the Berkshire Mountains of Massachusetts, in Spike, Classic or Base Camp style crews.

Teen Stewardship Training - Three Weeks!
This three-week Spike style crew is designed for any weeklong AMC Teen Volunteer Trail Crew alumni interested in pursuing further stewardship education. This course starts with a Leave No Trace Trainer Certification; includes a SOLO Wilderness First-aid course(WFA); and a Basic Maintenance Skills Session.  Teens work on backcountry trail maintenance project such as rock work, bog bridging, alpine work, AMC backcountry campsite work, and new trail construction. Also included is a day of rock climbing, along with rest/classroom days focused on backcountry skills and ethics. The AMC book, The Complete Guide to Trail Building and Maintenance, is included. Although this crew is designed for AMC Teen Volunteer Trail Crew alumni, it is open to all on a first-come, first-served basis, pending acceptance of the application.

White Mountains Crews
Spend early fall in the White Mountains, engaging in day trips to a project sites, with one day off for you to explore the mountains on your own!  Enjoy the comforts of a Base Camp style crew while you experience working in the scenic White Mountains.

Young Member's Crew *
Geared toward 20- to 30-somethings, this is a great opportunity to meet and work with like-minded folks around your age!  New nonmembers get a free membership with this Classic style crew.  The crew starts the week with a day trip to introduce the crew to trail work techniques, then packs into the backcountry for the remainder of the week.
