What’s At Stake

Changes in land ownership patterns (PDF) and the local economy are raising new concerns about future timber supplies, recreational access and the unique character of the region.

What We’re Doing

AMC is a member of the Mahoosucs Initiative, which is working with local communities to set a course for the economic and ecological future of the region. AMC is assisting in this effort by:

Providing GIS assistance in assessing the region’s

Advocating for land conservation funding in the region,
