AMC Teams up with the Evergreen Enrichment Collaborative

This summer, AMC teamed up with the Evergreen Enrichment Collaborative in Piscataquis County to provide outdoor education program for local youths.

Using AMC’s Moose Point Cabin as a base, 5th- and 6th-graders from the communities of Greenville and Guilford enjoyed camping and honing a variety of outdoor skills in a two-day program and a four-day program. Instruction focused on outdoor safety, and the four-day session incorporated the popular Donn Fendler book, Lost on a Mountain in Maine.

AMC also worked with EEC this past winter, teaching cross-country skiing and snowshoeing skills to schoolchildren in Greenville and Guilford. Over four days, AMC instructors worked with more than 300 kids in this after-school program.
