Hike Joshua Tree National Park and Mount San Jacinto State Park Friday, September 21 – Saturday, September 29, 2012 The President's Society will be heading to the Mojave Desert for an early fall hiking trip! Experience Palm Springs, Joshua Tree National Park and Mount San Jacinto State Park with President's Society members and staff leaders Roger Scholl and Clare O'Connell. Each day we will head out to explore the parks that surround the beautiful area of Palm Springs and Twentynine Palms. Enjoy daily hikes from 5 to 10 miles long that will cover a wide range of topography from low desert to the 10,800 foot San Jacinto peak. This will be a wonderful opportunity to explore the Mojave Desert the special habitat of Yucca brevifolia, the spectacular rock formations that are among the most interesting geologic formations in our national parks, and the Colorado Desert and its density of cacti.
