Summertime Day Hike
Join us for a day hike in New Hampshire’s Squam Range. We’ll summit Mounts Morgan and Percival via the Crawford-Ridgepole and Mount Morgan Trails. Afterwards, we’ll enjoy a summer cookout at a private home.
Wednesday, September 10 – Thursday, September 11
Hike Galehead Hut
The best way to enjoy fall in New England – a President’s Society hike to Galehead Hut!
David Govatski, professional forester and silviculturist, will join us as guest naturalist for a midweek fall trip to Galehead Hut. David worked on AMC’s trail and hut crews and spent his career with the US Forest Service. He is an avid birder and botanist and works on conservation projects throughout New Hampshire. He leads frequent guided trips to the alpine zone, bogs, boreal forests and along area rivers. We’ll benefit from his extensive knowledge as we hike to the most remote hut in the New Hampshire chain.
Friday, September 26 – Sunday, September 28
The Beauty of Fall in the Maine Woods
Join us at Little Lyford Pond Camps for crisp day hikes and spectacular paddles. Be among the first to check out trails constructed over the summer, and help the crew prepare for winter with a group service project. As always, we’ll be treated to homemade meals and cozy cabins. A great way to kick off the fall!
