Take Leave No Trace courses with the AMC

KozlowLeave No Trace courses are designed for people with an interest in outdoor recreation, a commitment to training others, and a desire to protect wilderness resources. They emphasize low-impact camping skills (based on researched findings), wildland ethics, and teaching techniques. The hikes taken in the course are not overly strenuous but require good health.

The AMC offers the Master Educator course, highlighted below:

  • Five days (one classroom day; four days in the backcountry).
  • Concentrated on Leave No Trace principles and teaching strategies.
  • Designed for people actively teaching backcountry skills or providing recreation information to the public.
