Here are some general tips on how to use the Advanced Search.
Search By Location
Search for Teen Wilderness Adventures in a specific place by selecting a location from the drop-down menu in the Advanced Search and then clicking the "Submit" button. Here's an idea of what our five different locations are like:
- White Mountains — awesome mountains in northern New Hampshire and Maine. Accommodations range from a full-service lodge to camping under the stars.
- Mount Cardigan — on a 1,200-acre reservation in central New Hampshire's beautiful Lakes Region. Our cozy, full-service Cardigan Lodge provides lodging at the base.
- Highland Center at Crawford Notch — a destination for outdoor adventure, learning, and lodging.
- Delaware Water Gap — scenic National Recreation Area along the Appalachian Trail in northern New Jersey. Our Mohican Outdoor Center provides rustic lodging.
- Maine — from the 100-Mile Wilderness to Acadia National Park, enjoy a range of accommodations, including AMC's full-service Little Lyford Lodge and Cabins, a traditional Maine sporting camp.
Search By Category
Using the Advanced Search, find Adventures in a specific category by selecting a category from the drop-down menu and then clicking the "Submit" button. Here's a sample of the kinds of courses you might find in each category:
- Backpacking — explore some of the most striking mountainous terrain in the East.
- Canoeing, Sea Kayaking, and Whitewater Kayaking — learn paddling skills on guided trips.
- Rock Climbing — learn standard rock-climbing techniques, rope-handling skills, and rock-site safety practices.
- Mountain Biking — learn to shift like a pro, cross streams and logs, make field repairs, climb and descend with confidence, and be comfortable with varying terrain.
Search By Keyword
In the Advanced Search, find Adventures by keyword by using the drop-down menu of activities and interests that are available to you. Then, click the "Submit" button. If this is the only search criterion you entered, you will retrieve all listings, in all locations — past and currently available — that are related to your selected activity or interest. You may select only one keyword at a time for each search.
Search By Date
Search for programs by date in the Advanced Search by using the drop-down menus to choose the month and day you would like a program to start after, start before, or both; then click the "Submit" button.
