11-Day Wilderness Conservation and Service Adventure
Join other teens passionate about wilderness and wildlife conservation during this trip designed to introduce you to the basic elements of wilderness conservation and management.  While backpacking in the spectacular White Mountains for the first half of the trip, you’ll delve more deeply into wilderness ethics on a 16-hour Leave No Trace trainer course.  You’ll then apply your newfound skills to a trail stewardship project before switching to paddling in Umbagog National Wildlife Preserve.  Learn from land managers who care for these beautiful places while earning up to 80 service hours with other teens who love the outdoors!

14-Day Appalachian Trail Backpack
If you’ve ever dreamed of thru-hiking the “AT” or are just excited about a challenging, extended backpacking adventure, this trip is for you. Starting in western Maine, you will travel south through the Mahoosuc and Carter Ranges for 2 weeks, spending your last night at Carter Notch Hut. Experience the rhythm of a long distance hike while enjoying some of the most spectacular miles of the AT. Along the way, we will discuss long distance hiking techniques, as well as meet thru-hikers and learn from their experiences.

20-Day Leadership Training Backpack
Learn to be a competent trip leader and acquire life-long skills! The Teen Wilderness Adventures Leadership Training Backpack provides excellent instruction to older teens on how to manage groups and conflict, travel confidently in the outdoors, and deal with unplanned situations. Many graduates of this program have gone on to work with the AMC in various capacities. Through a continuous 20-day backpacking experience, coupled with initiatives and group discussions, you will focus on gaining the knowledge and experience outdoor leaders need to be successful. You'll plan itineraries, food menus, and equipment as well as learn about judgment, group development, and decision-making. An on-the-trail certification in Wilderness First Aid will train you to manage backcountry emergencies. This course culminates with the participants planning and executing a small group expedition. Pre-Registration Form (PDF) must be approved prior to registration.

Ultimate Expedition: 23 Days on Land, Water, and Rock
This advanced program gives you the chance to master your skills at backpacking, whitewater kayaking, rock climbing, and canoeing while adding basic training in leadership skills and certification in Wilderness First Aid. You will learn how to take care of yourself and your team over an extended expedition.  This program is perfect for those who have enjoyed our traditional trips and are looking for a bigger, more rigorous challenge. Pre-Registration Form (PDF) must be approved prior to registration.
