The Carter Range is located on the border of the newest wilderness area of the White Mountain National Forest. The scenery in October is stunning as the forest begins its spectacular shift of fall colors. The combination of the foliage and the clear tumbling waters of the Wildcat and Nineteen Mile Brooks paralleling the trails makes this trip a fall treat.
