Enjoy backcountry lodging with traditional mountain hospitality in a spectacular setting.  Take a foray into Franconia Notch to enjoy tremendous views and refreshing swims as we explore both sides of the notch.  We start with an overnight at Highland Lodge.  Then after a hearty breakfast, we set out for Lonesome Lake, where we take in the panoramic view of the Franconia Range reflected in the remote mountain lake.  We spend the night at Lonesome Lake Hut, then we journey on to ascend the crags of Mt. Lafayette to treeline.  There we reach Greenleaf Hut overlooking Walker Ravine.
