Whether you use the knowledge for yourself or others, being able to apply basic backcountry first aid is vital for any outdoor enthusiast. Moving beyond urban first aid, this 2-day course teaches the skills necessary to identify and treat medical issues common to wilderness settings and to prepare for long-term care scenarios. The course includes hands-on practice and lectures. Upon completion, participants receive 16-hour Wilderness First Aid certification. This course may be used to re-certify a current Wilderness First Responder certification.
Minimum age is 18 (16 if accompanied by an adult).
