The easternmost destination of the White Mountains, Carter Notch Hut is open year round for full-service in the summer, and self-service in the fall, winter, and spring. It's an excellent destination for hikers, skiers, and snowshoers alike, and because it is one of the more accessible huts, it's especially suitable for families and newcomers to the backcountry.
