New! Winter Family Adventure Camp
Feb. 15-19
Join us during February vacation week for a snow filled affordable vacation this winter. Our family-friendly lodge abuts a 5,000-acre forest with miles of cross-country skiing and hiking trails. It also boasts a great sledding hill!
We will cook and clean while you find time for fun with your family and relaxing. Ski or snowshoe from our front door or head to the many local lakes for ice-skating. AMC’s staff will offer complimentary skills sessions on winter hiking and snowshoeing.
Kids and adults can learn how to build different snow shelters or participate in the 3-legged snowshoe race! The sledding hill is perfect for all ages. Our expert staff will share backcountry safety and trail info as well as local natural/cultural history through informal talks and evening programs.
Activities are perfect for kids ages 5 and up. This package includes programming, meals and lodging. Guests must supply their own snowshoes, ski equipment and sleds. Whether you use the knowledge for yourself or others, being able to apply basic backcountry first aid is a vital skill for any outdoor enthusiast. Moving beyond urban first aid, this 2-day course teaches the skills necessary to identify and treat medical issues common to wilderness settings and to prepare for long-term care scenarios.
