SOLO Wilderness First Aid August 2-3
Whether you use the knowledge for yourself or others, being able to apply basic backcountry first aid is vital for any outdoor enthusiast. Moving beyond urban first aid, this course teaches the skills necessary to identify and treat medical issues common to wilderness settings and to prepare for long-term care scenarios. The course includes hands-on practice and lectures. Upon completion, participants receive 16-hour Wilderness First Aid certification. May be used to re-certify a current Wilderness First Responder certification.

Applefest at Cardigan Mountain Orchard September 12-14
Get a taste for fall at our Apple Festival at Cardigan Lodge. On Saturday we will travel by horse-drawn wagon to our local partner, Cardigan Mountain Orchard. There will be time to explore the orchard, take in a presentation on apple farming, and observe apples being pressed into pure, unpasteurized New Hampshire cider. The open air farm stand offers local products for sale, like gourds, pumpkins, jellies and pies, and of course, apples!
