Yoga and Wellness Retreat
November 13-15
Retreat to beautiful Crawford Notch for a relaxing weekend of yoga and wellness. National Audubon Society’s 110th Christmas Bird Count (CBC)
December 19
The 6th Annual Crawford Notch CBC is an early-winter bird census, where volunteers follow specified routes through a designated 15-mile diameter circle, counting every bird they see or hear. The event offers birders a wonderful opportunity to see and record dozens of species set amongst the spectacular beauty of Crawford Notch and its surroundings. Lodging packages are available for the weekend as well as breakfast and dinner for counters not staying overnight.
Equipment by L.L. Bean is available for the day. There is a $5 fee to offset compilation of data costs by the National Audubon Society. To book your reservation for an overnight stay at the Highland Center call 603-466-2727.

This Guided adventure to Lonesome Lake Hut will focus on staying warm in winter, building snowshoe techniques, and learning about the winter ecology of the Franconia Range.

Intro to Ice Climbing Premium Package
Jan. 29-31, Feb. 26-28
This intensive beginner course is geared toward the 3- or 4-season hiker who wants to delve into winter adventures using ice axes and crampons. You’ll learn how to fit and use crampons while handling ice axes on various terrains. You’ll practice on lower-angled slabs of ice, discuss selection of appropriate climbs, risk and objective hazards, proper use of ice protection, and skills needed to safely establish a top-rope ice-climbing site—all in magnificent Crawford Notch. The limited course size ensures a 1:4 guide to participant ration so each participant receives individual attention. All technical gear is provided. The minimum age for this program is 18 (16 with an adult).
