Medawisla Wilderness Lodge and Cabins offers a wide variety of outdoor activities -- perfect for a weeklong vacation stay. Here are just a few ideas on things to do -- our lodge staff is always happy to help with planning.

Activities

  • Hiking – enjoy walks near camp (see summer trails map), or hike nearby Big and Little Spencer Mountains or Number Four Mountain
  • Biking - explore our nearby woods roads by mountain bike (see summer trails map)
  • Skiing – explore 35 miles of cross-country ski trails close to camp (see winter trails map), or ski lodge-to-lodge for a multi-day adventure. 
  • Dogsledding – take a day trip or lodge-to-lodge overnight adventure with a local guide
  • Flyfishing – enjoy flyfishing nearby ponds and rivers for land-locked salmon and native brook trout.  Learn more about fly-fishing near Medawisla, and check out our June fly-fishing workshops
  • Wildlife watching - walking or paddling near camp provides opportunities for spotting moose, loons and eagles
