  • Hiking – take short walks to picturesque Glen Ellis Falls, Crystal Cascade, Lost Pond, or Square Ledge. Tuckerman Ravine and Wildcat Ridge Trails leave steps from the Joe Dodge Lodge, providing access to Huntington Ravine, Tuckerman Ravine, Mt. Washington and the Wildcat Range. Trailheads to Mounts Madison and Adams and the Carter-Moriah Range are just a short shuttle ride away (summer/fall only).
     
  • Plan a hut overnight adventure: take the Tuckerman Ravine Trail from the Lodge to Lakes of the Clouds Hut (4.6 miles/elevation gain 3000 feet). Or take the Hiker Shuttle from the Lodge to the access trails for Carter Notch Hut or Madison Spring Hut
     
  • Mountain biking, paddling at nearby Great Glen Trails (10 minute drive)
     
  • Cross-country skiing: backcountry ski trails around the lodge and WMNF Hayes Copp Ski Trails, or the nearby groomed trails at Great Glen Trails or the Jackson Ski Touring Foundation.
     
  • Downhill skiing: at nearby Wildcat Ski Area (5 minute drive). Advanced skiers can ski Tuckerman Ravine. See Tuckerman conditions >>
