A U.S. Forest Service facility, this volunteer trail work center is maintained by the AMC and used by scheduled AMC trail working crews, namely the Adopt-a-Trail Volunteers and Camp Dodge Volunteer Trail Crews. Four miles north of the Pinkham Notch Visitor Center, this facility offers bunk space, a common area, kitchen, a shower house and bathrooms, and limited parking for volunteers and AMC staff. The AMC operates this facility under a special use permit with the U.S. Forest Service.
This facility is not open to the general public. You must be registered with our North Country Volunteer Coordinator and be involved in a trail work program to use the facility.

First week of May through second week of September.
Basics
- Three bunkhouses accommodate up to 20 people each.
- Breakfasts, trail lunches, and dinners for scheduled work crews only.

Rates
- Adopt-a-Trail Volunteers receive a bunk and three meals for an eight-hour day of trail work.
- Most Camp Dodge Volunteer Trail Crews pay $125 per week for bunks/tents, tools, camping gear, and meals; Sunday dinner through Saturday breakfast included.
Reservations & Policies
- Adopt-a-Trail Volunteers must contact the Camp Dodge Coordinator at 603-466-3301 seven days in advance with dates of stay, number in party, dietary restrictions, and a phone number.
- Camp Dodge Volunteer Trail Crews must go through an application and reservation process with the North Country Volunteer Coordinator. Call 603-466-3301.
- Appalachian Trail thru-hikers may stay at Camp Dodge with prior notification and if they are willing to volunteer for two hours of work (if work is available).
