Peak season for fly fishing in the Maine Woods is during the cooler days of May, June, and September. Native brook trout are plentiful in the remote ponds and rivers at our Maine Wilderness Lodges near Moosehead Lake. Learn more from our Free Maine Woods Fishing Guide.

There is easy access to stream fishing on the West Branch of the Pleasant River, or anglers can take to the water in canoes available to guests on more than ten ponds. Fly rods may be rented by Little Lyford and Medawisla guests at the rate of $25/stay. Please request when making your lodging reservation.
