Gene Daniell has worked on the AMC White Mountain Guide since 1979. He is the longest-serving editor in the guide’s history.
Steven D. Smith has been co-editor of the Guide since the 27th Edition. He is the owner of The Mountain Wanderer bookstore in Lincoln, N.H.

May 23, 2007: White Mountain Guide Launch Event at AMC headquarters, Boston
We’re celebrating the centennial edition of the White Mountain Guide and we’d love you to join us! Get your book signed and participate in a panel discussion with editors Gene Daniell and Steven D. Smith and cartographer Larry Garland. We’ll take a look at some of the older editions of the guide and then show a preview of an upcoming online companion to the Guide.
