Basic Medical & Evacuation Insurance – Included in your Trip Fee
Medical and Evacuation Insurance is included in the cost of your trip and will provide coverage from your departure date through the date you arrive back home. If you extend your trip then you will be covered until the time that you depart from the AMC trip itinerary. This policy covers sickness that manifests itself or an injury that occurs during the trip. Evacuation that is necessary as a result of the above is also covered, including travel home, if needed.

Benefits of this policy:
Medical Expenses (Primary), $5,000 (maximum)
Emergency Medical Evacuation, $200,000 (maximum)
Accidental Death & Dismemberment, $5,000 (maximum)

 
Worldwide Assistance Center:
The Worldwide Assistance Center is available to our trip participants, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. They are available during the trip to assist in finding appropriate medical care or a dentist (even if it’s minor), making arrangements for evacuation and travel home, helping participants get in touch with family members at home, and providing translation services when necessary.

Additional Travel Insurance – Optional & Highly Recommended
We highly recommend purchasing additional travel insurance to protect yourself against losing the investment you’ve made in your trip. Purchasing an additional policy will provide you with better and broader coverage in case you have travel difficulties or are unable to participate in the trip as expected.

For example, if you become ill or injured during your trip and must return home, then a travel insurance policy such as this one will reimburse you for the cost of the trip – a benefit the AMC is unable to provide.
