Getting There

  • Numerous designated parking lots with boat access are found text to the tow-past along the canal, including: The canal at Amwell and Blackwells Mills. From Route 206, drive east for 3.6 miles on Route 514 (Amwell Road). After passing over the Millstone River, look for the parking lot on the left, on the west side of the canal in Amwell. Launch directly into the canal from there. You can paddle north for 3.2 miles before encountering a lock.
