What’s in the area:

  • Carpets of aquatic vegetation
  • Fragrant water lily, pickerelweed, floating heart, water celery, smartweed, water shield, cattails, and yellow pond lily
  • Trophy northern pike and smallmouth bass

Getting There

  • From the junction of Routes 28 and 30 in the village of Blue Mountain Lake, head east on Routes 28 and 30. Go 0.9 mile, watching for Durant Road turning sharply back to the right. Turn right onto Durant Road, and continue 0.2 mile. Turn left onto the dirt road, and go 0.2 mile to the boat access.
  • To get to Lake Durant Campground, continue east on Routes 28 and 30, watching for signs on the right. After turning into the campground, the boat launch is on the right, and the campground is to the left.
