Getting There
- From Exit 19 of the NYS Thruway (I-87) in Kingston, take NY 28 west 31 miles to CR 47 (Slide Mountain Road) in Big Indian. Set your odometer to zero. Turn left (south) on CR 47, passing the Giant Ledge trailhead at 7.3 miles, and Winnisook Lake at 8.4 miles. At 9.0 miles park at the Slide Mountain trailhead parking lot on the left side of Slide Mountain Road.
