Getting There

  • Getting to the scenic parking area where the yellow trail begins is tricky, since it's located on a "no turns" section of US 9W in the northbound lane. Accordingly, if you are travelling south (from Cornwall), this requires you to travel past the parking area and make a U-turn at the intersection of US 9W and NY 293/218 at the West Point Reservation, 3.0 miles south. Driving south from Cornwall on US 9W, you will see the parking area turnout at the top of the pass 1.5 miles beyond the Angola Road overpass.
