Mt. Waumbek (4,006 ft.), is the highest peak in the Pliny Range of New Hampshire’s North Country, offering views to the east from the summit.

Suggested Routes
Strenuous: The trip to Waumbek is coupled with an ascent of neighboring Mt. Starr King. Hikers ascend Starr King via the Starr King Trail and continue on past the summit to Waumbek’s summit, 1 mile to the east. The summit marks the southern end of the Kilkenny Ridge Trail, which continues on to Mt. Weeks, Terrace Mountain and Mt. Cabot.

Safety
