Tony NgJudges selected Tony Ng’s “Ice Chrysanthemum” as the grand prize winner in the 22nd annual AMC Photo Contest.
PRIZES
One grand-prize winner, selected by a panel of professional photographers, will receive a free stay at an AMC full-service lodge. The first-place winner in each category, chosen by the judges, and the People’s Choice winner will receive outdoor gear prizes donated by Deuter, ENO, Forty Below, LEKI, and LifeStraw.

CONTEST RULES
- Eligibility: Open to all current AMC members except contest judges and AMC employees. Grand prize, first-place, and People’s Choice winners from the previous year are not eligible for the current contest.
- By entering a photo in the contest, you grant AMC nonexclusive, royalty-free rights for unlimited reproduction in AMC print and electronic publications and promotional materials for an unlimited period of time. We will provide photo credit if we publish your image.
- You may submit up to three entries in each category (12 images total). A maximum of one photograph per entrant per category can be selected by the judges. One of your entries may also be designated for the People’s Choice contest (grand-prize and category winners will not be eligible). AMC reserves the right to move entries from one category to another.
- Be prepared to provide AMC with the written consent of anyone who appears in a photograph.
- Photos must depict the Northeastern or Mid-Atlantic United States or, if from outside the region, must have been taken on an AMC Adventure Travel or other AMC-sponsored trip.
- All photographs must have been taken between October 1, 2016, and August 14, 2017.
- All entries will be displayed on AMC’s website once they have been reviewed and approved.
- All entries must be received by 11:59 a.m. (EST) Monday, August 14, 2017.
- Decisions of the judges are final. Winners will be notified by November 2017.
- The winning photos will be published in a 2018 issue of AMC Outdoorsand on outdoors.org.
