Write to Congress Urging them to Bring LWCF Full Funding Bills to a Vote Now

Now is our chance to finally secure full, dedicated, and permanent funding for the Land and Water Conservation Fund. Congress needs to bring full funding measures to the Senate and House floors for a vote. The bi-partisan bills to permanently provide $900 million to LWCF have majority support and have passed out of their committees as of November.

Congress Must Act on LWCF

The Land and Water Conservation Fund is a visionary and bipartisan federal funding program that protects our nation’s most special places. From Sterling Forest in the New York Highlands, to White Cap Mountain in Maine, to the Appalachian National Scenic Trail, LWCF has funded the protection of some of our most iconic landscapes and trails in the Northeast. Earlier this year, we celebrated the permanent reauthorization of the Land and Water Conservation Fund, but without dedicated and permanent funding Congress’ work is not complete.
