Ask Your Legislators to Fund Land for Maine’s Future

The popular and successful Land for Maine’s Future program needs your help. Over 30 years, the Land for Maine’s Future program has conserved more than 600,000 acres across the state, ensuring that some of our most beautiful and important places will remain open to all of us, forever.

The program desperately needs more funding

Land conservation not only creates access for outdoor recreation, it also stabilizes Maine’s forest products industry, mitigates climate change, and contributes to our economy. Encourage your elected representatives to prioritize land conservation.

Maine voters have overwhelmingly supported funding Land for Maine’s Future in the voting booth, but we won’t get the chance to vote this year unless the Maine Legislature votes to place a question on the ballot.

Please customize the message below to ask your state representative and senator to support LD#911, An Act to Authorize a General Fund Bond Issue to Promote Land Conservation, Working Waterfronts, Water Access, and Outdoor Recreation sponsored by Cathy Breen. If passed, the bill would place a bond question on the ballot this November.
