"The AMC Roving Conservation Crews has worked with the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation Trails Program on many occasions, successfully completing a variety of projects from stone work, to boardwalks, to mechanized trail repairs. The crews are professional, knowledgeable and very hard working. I am always impressed with the scope of their training and the quality of their results."
"In 2006 Loon Echo Land Trust (LELT) began working with AMC at the Pleasant Mountain Preserve to begin rehab on a newly acquired ten mile trail network. In 2016, we worked closely with AMC in the development of a new three mile network at our Raymond Community Forest. Over the past decade, LELT has invested $100,000.00 into our most challenging trail projects using the AMC, RCC crews. This investment has dramatically changed the hiking experience for our guests who number in the tens of thousands annually. As a result, we have seen our membership grow. Stone steps, rock water bars and major erosion control projects have been accomplished by well- trained crew members and capable crew leaders, in difficult conditions. What keeps Loon Echo coming back to AMC besides quality work is the character of the people at every level that we deal with. Each individual is professional, considerate and fiercely proud. We look forward to beginning our second decade working with the AMC in 2017"
