Fire Island Lodge
Explore the rugged beauty of dunes, forest and marshes at the National Seashore from AMC's Fire Island Lodge. Enjoy Atlantic Ocean beaches, and canoe, kayak and sail on the Great South Bay. Fire Island Lodge is a volunteer-run facility. Volunteer managers and leaders run weekend and midweek activities. Weekend guests share food prep, communal meals, and clean-up; midweek (Monday-Thursday) is self-service (bring your own food and utilize our fully-equipped kitchen).
This lodge offers two co-ed, 12-bunk dorms with mattresses, blankets and pillows (you may bring linens or sleeping bags, or you can rent our linen package for $20). There are shared bathrooms, hot outdoor showers, a screened porch, decks, beach umbrellas and chairs, kayaks, canoes, sailboats, yoga equipment and our new Educational Center, which houses our library, board games, and workshops.
Activities on Fire Island include canoeing, kayaking, sailing, swimming, hiking, yoga, dancing (Irish to Salsa), painting, dedicated family time, and more.
Children over the age of 6 are welcome midweek (Monday-Thursday).
Dedicated Family Time includes 2 midweeks during summer months with no age restrictions.
We are unable to accommodate pets at Fire Island Cabin.
Smoking is not permitted in or near any structure.
Use of electronic devices (cell phones, laptops, etc.) on property is restricted.

Reservations & Policies
Reservations open on April 18, 2017 for weekends (and we accept midweek requests before May 13). Please email firstname.lastname@example.org with your full name, AMC membership number and contact info.
On May 14, 2017 all midweek reservations must call the Lodge at 631-583-5366 (lines open Monday-Thursday between the hours of 10am-1pm) and a manager will assist you with your requested reservation.

Cancellations for weekend reservations
Over four weeks notice - full refund. Over one week to four weeks notice - partial refund minus $50. Under one week (7 days) notice - no refund.
Cancellations for midweek reservations
