Support Maine Woods

  • I want to give kids a chance to hike, climb, and paddle within our forests and underneath our stars.

Right before our eyes there’s an entire generation growing up without experiencing nature or learning to preserve and protect our wild places. What a terrible personal loss in the lives of our kids. And what an awful threat to the beauty and majesty of our country.

Today there’s a long list of children itching to experience nature for the first time. Please give them this gift. Please give them their chance to hike, to climb, to paddle, to push themselves to truly live life, within our forests and underneath our stars. What a priceless gift, and a priceless difference you can make in a child’s life. Thank you for doing what you can.

Yes, I want to help a child experience a day in the great outdoors … and spark a lifelong love for our environment!

  • I want to protect land, water, and recreation areas!

Nearly every moment in the outdoors you’ve ever shared with loved ones – has been made richer and more rewarding thanks to funding from the Land and Water Conservation Fund.

From Sterling Forest in the New York Highlands, to White Cap Mountain in Maine, to the Appalachian National Scenic Trail, LWCF has funded the protection of some of our most iconic landscapes and trails in the Northeast … and thousands of local parks and ballfields dotting nearly every town. But right now – today – the Land and Water Conservation Fund is hanging in the balance.

Will you stand with us … and raise your voice today?

  • I want to keep the air we breathe clean!

Imagine a world where every breath you took made you sicker. Every breath you took brought you one step closer to the hospital. Every breath you took edged you one step closer to the graveyard.

Today we have reached such a moment in our lives when it comes to the air we breathe. The water we drink. The life we live. Please stand up today, at the foot of these crossroads, and claim your place in history. Please. Someone has to do it. Why not you? Thank you for doing what you can.

Yes, I want to protect our environment and resources!
