Mountain Brook Cabin is reserved for exclusive use by a single party and can accommodate up to nine guests. The property includes two separate cabins—one main cabin in the woods and a smaller lakeside cabin with a porch overlooking the water.

The main cabin accommodates seven guests and features three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a full kitchen, and a living room. The primary bedroom on the first floor has a queen-size bed, while upstairs there is one bedroom with a queen bed and another with two twin beds. A futon on the upstairs landing can accommodate one additional guest. The lakeside cabin is a single-room retreat with a queen-size futon accommodating two guests and a porch overlooking the lake.

This off-grid property requires a generator for electricity, water, and internet. Cooking appliances and lighting are powered by propane.

Guests can explore the private lake by kayak, with PDFs and paddles provided. Outdoor enthusiasts can fly-fish the West Branch of the Pleasant River or hike to nearby Gulf Hagas, appropriately deemed the Grand Canyon of Maine.

Cell service is limited, and internet access is intermittent. For assistance during a stay, guests can drive five minutes to Little Lyford Lodge & Cabins, where AMC staff are available to help.

Guests at Mountain Brook Cabin prepare their own meals, as no food service is available on site. The fully equipped kitchen in the main cabin includes:

  • Propane refrigerator
  • Propane cookstove with oven
  • Pots, pans, dishes, and flatware

All kitchen appliances run on propane and do not require the generator.

Dinners can be enjoyed at Little Lyford Lodge & Cabins for a special treat. Reservations for meals are required and should be made at least 24 hours in advance.
