Dragonfly Mercury Project

The Merrimack Dragonfly Mercury Project
The Dragonfly Mercury Project helps scientists study mercury levels in freshwaters across the country. AMC is working with communities to collect dragonfly larvae samples in the Merrimack River Watershed of Massachusetts and New Hampshire.

The Pennsylvania Highlands Conservation Atlas
AMC worked with local land trusts and county agencies in Pennsylvania to create a Conservation Atlas of special places and resources in the 1.4 million-acre Pennsylvania Highlands.

Accessibility Assessment Interactive Map
The AMC conducted an Accessibility Assessment to better understand which portions of the Highlands Trail in Pennsylvania are ADA-accessible, as well as learn about the demographic makeup of communities adjacent to the trail. This research works to inform outreach strategies based on the community’s needs and wants in recreational areas that are close to their home.

Northeast Alpine Flower Watch
AMC and its partners are asking hikers to document the flowering times of plants in northeastern alpine areas using iNaturalist.
