Women's+ Activities
Join AMC Guides for trips created for you: joyful experiences in the outdoors where you are surrounded and validated by a supportive community of women.
What do we mean by Women's+? This is AMC's gender expansive term for experiences that are led by women, gender-nonconfirming, trans, and non-binary folks for members of these groups. We include the "+" to signal these activities as safe, welcoming spaces for women and those with more diverse gender expressions.
In addition to women's+ Guided Outdoor trips, we also welcome women's+ audiences to attend AMC's DEI speaker series and to join their local chapter for even more women's+ activities on and off the trail.

AMC Guides are experienced leaders and eager instructors of outdoor skills and natural history—and they're all women, too! Below are just a few of the trailblazing women who lead Guided Outdoor programs for AMC. Read more about our guides' approach to creating a fun and inclusive environment in a traditionally male-dominated field.
Sarah G., Senior Outdoor Guide
Sarah has been a guide in the White Mountains since 2019. As a native of the Northeast, the White Mountains and the high peaks in Maine are some of the places where she developed a passion for hiking and the outdoors. With a background in environmental education, Sarah is excited to share her love and knowledge of the mountains with you!
Marielle F., Senior Outdoor Guide
Marielle is a New Hampshire native with over a decade of guiding experience. From the White Mountains of New Hampshire to the Hundred Mile Wilderness of Maine she has guided hiking, canoeing, and other outdoor adventures for a wide range of ages and abilities. Her curiosity is contagious and her goal is to inspire others to get outdoors and to appreciate the natural world.
Clare A., Guided Outdoors Staff Supervisor
A guide in the White Mountains since 2019, Clare is a Wilderness EMT, Leave No Trace Master Educator, and nature enthusiast with a background in ecology and visual art. She thru-hiked the Appalachian Trail in 2016, Vermont's Long Trail in 2017, and has climbed all the 48 tallest peaks in the Whites. When she's not guiding, Clare spends her time exploring New England, hiking, paddling, skiing, and making art. Her favorite part of guiding is seeing how the outdoors can transform people, leaving folks feeling empowered and excited to spend more time outside.
