Accessibility

There’s a reason they call it “Noble View.” Elevated around 1,100 feet above the Connecticut Valley, the Noble View Outdoor Center provides spectacular views of towns, countryside and the cities of Westfield and Springfield. After enjoying the view, explore 360 acres of woodlands, trails, and abandoned farm fields. Hike in the summer or break out of your winter routine with cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.

Overnight guests stay in fully updated cottages with electricity and lighting. The cottages share a central campfire ring and firewood is included! Central parking is a short walk from the cottages, and campsites are accessible by gravel paths. Cottages and campsites are dog-friendly, but require a pet fee to be paid at the time of booking. There is a maximum of 2 dogs per cabin or campsite.

Noble view offers several options for lodging:

  • Double Cottage: Accommodates 18 guests in two wings. Each wing has four bedrooms and its own large, open common area with couches and chairs. The kitchen/dining room is self-service with two gas stoves and two refrigerators, an electric coffee maker, a toaster, and all cooking and service ware.
  • North Cottage: Accommodates 10 guests in four private bedrooms. Includes electricity, a large common area, and a kitchen with a 6-burner gas range and refrigerator, an electric coffee maker, a toaster, and all cooking and service ware.
  • Cottages share a central campfire ring and firewood is included. Mattresses are provided, however guests should bring their own pillows and linen/sleeping bags.
  • There is some wifi. Cell phone coverage is spotty. Cottages have electric outlets and lighting.
  • There are 5 wooded 10x12’ campsites and 5 campsites (3 12x16’ and 2 10x12’) along the edge of a field. Each has a campfire ring with pot grate. The campsites share one bear box.
  • Campfire wood is free and located in the camp area wood box, with additional wood in the woodsheds by the cottages.

There’s no running water or sinks in the cottages, but potable water is available at the Bath House, which includes hot showers, sinks, flush composting toilets, and dish washing areas.

Before you Arrive

North and Double Cottages both have ramps, first floors with accessible bedrooms, and two twin beds in each bedroom. The central bathhouse is accessible. Gravel paths connect the parking area to the cabins and bathhouse.

Service Animals

Under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), businesses and organizations that serve the public must allow people with disabilities to bring their service animals into all areas of the facility where customers are normally allowed to go. This federal law applies to all businesses open to the public, including AMC managed lodging and visitor centers, where service animals are welcomed.

A service animal at AMC facilities must be under the control of its handler. Under the ADA, service animals must be harnessed, leashed, or tethered, unless the individual’s disability prevents using these devices or these devices interfere with the service animal’s safe, effective performance of tasks. In that case, the individual must maintain control of the animal through voice, signal, or other effective controls.

These rules do not apply to emotional support animals because they have not been trained to perform a specific job or task, they do not qualify as service animals under the ADA.
