This season we will open in a COVID 19 responsible way. There will be no individual reservations.
There are two bunk rooms. This year each room is limited to a pod of up to five people, as we are reducing capacity to allow for distancing. A pod is a group of family or friends who are comfortable living/sleeping in the same space. Each pod is responsible for forming their own group. Two individual pods will be staying at the cabin at once.
Rooms can only be booked in blocks: a weekend block is Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. A midweek block is Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights. One person in the pod would contact the AMC Contact Service Center to book a room for a particular block (either a weekend or midweek) and make one payment for the entire room/pod.
Example: To reserve a June midweek or weekend, one person calls the AMC Contact Service Center to book a room for Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday night block, or a Friday/Saturday/Sunday night block, for up to five people.
Food Supplies and Meal Preparation on Your Own: The 2021 rates do not include meals; each pod brings their own food. The managers will coordinate cooking and cleaning times for each pod, to keep you separated from the second pod as much as possible. The cabin will be stocked with staples. There is a small freezer for use by both pods, so please limit the amount of food you bring that requires freezing.
There are many restaurants in Ocean Beach – about a 15-minute walk or take the water taxi.
There are check-in and check-out times to limit contact with incoming groups.
The cabin has retained a cleaning service to sanitize the cabin and environs in accordance with CDC guidelines after each group departs.
Day guests will be welcome, with new restrictions. Please inquire for details.
Masks that cover the mouth and nose are required in all common areas (kitchen, porch, deck, gazebo, public paths). Social distancing rules need to be followed in the common areas as well.
While vaccination is encouraged, it is not required to stay at the FIC. All COVID 19 policies must be followed, regardless of personal vaccination status.
