Memorial & Honorary Gifts

Honor someone special with a gift to the outdoors.

A memorial or honorary gift is the perfect way to celebrate life’s special events such as a birthday, anniversary, or a holiday. Or, contribute in memory of a loved one. Gifts help to build and maintain trails, protect public land, support clean air and water, and promote the enjoyment and value of the outdoors.

If you choose, we will send an acknowledgment in your name to the honoree or loved ones close to the individual being honored, informing them of the gift. The gift amount will be kept confidential. You may include a special note, if you wish.

Below is sample wording you may use to list the Appalachian Mountain Club in an obituary:

In memory of (name), the family requests that a donation be made to the Appalachian Mountain Club, 10 City Square, Boston, MA 02129 or via their website: https://www.outdoors.org/donate/tribute-gifts.

AMC is both honored and grateful to be the recipient of memorial gifts. View recent gifts.
