Curious By Nature Weekend is for anyone who wants to spend more time outdoors but doesn't know where to start. Just an hour from New York City, trade screens and schedules for forest trails, campfires, lake swims, and a weekend of outdoor exploration.

Friday
- Arrive at Corman-Harriman Outdoor Center by car or take the AMC shuttle from Sloatsburg train station
- Check in to your cabin or campsite

Saturday
- Morning yoga by the water and breakfast

Take the train from the city to Sloatsburg, then hop on an AMC shuttle to camp. Once you arrive, we take care of the rest.

You'll stay at AMC's Harriman Outdoor Center, a lakeside camp nestled in the heart of Harriman State Park. Choose between shared cabin accommodations or camping, and enjoy shared meals, campfires, and easy access to all weekend activities and programming. Whether you prefer the comfort of a cabin or a night under the stars, you'll be immersed in the full camp experience.
Yes! Curious By Nature Weekend is designed to be accessible from New York City without a car. Take NJ Transit to Sloatsburg, then hop on the AMC shuttle to camp. From there, everything you need for the weekend is in one place, making it easy to focus on exploring, learning, and connecting with nature.

Pack for a comfortable weekend outdoors and be prepared for changing weather. We recommend bringing:
- Weather-appropriate clothing and layers
- Rain gear
- Comfortable shoes for outdoor activities
- Water bottle
- Sunscreen and bug spray
- Personal toiletries and medications
- Headlamp or flashlight
- Small daypack
- Any accommodation-specific items you may need, such as bedding or towels

Dinner, breakfast, and a to-go trail lunch are available à la carte, with dinner and breakfast served in the dining room. Order meals eight or more days in advance and save 25%. Meal reservations are required more than 48 hours in advance. To make meal reservations, call 603-466-2727 (Monday–Saturday).
While alcohol cannot be sold or provided at Corman-Harriman Outdoor Center, guests who are 21+ are welcome to bring their own alcohol for personal consumption. Please drink responsibly and be respectful of other guests.
