The AMC has a wide range of facilities to accommodate groups of all sizes. Some popular options include:
Located on a beautiful glacial lake in the 70,000-acre Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area, AMC’s Mohican Outdoor Center is an ideal retreat from the world’s cares. Stroll to nearby wetlands to spot the local wildlife, or hike the Appalachian Trail to magnificent views of the water gap. Or just splash or paddle in Catfish Pond and unwind.
Just a 90-minute drive from New York City, Mohican is a great base for exploring on your own, with your family and friends, or with a larger group. With self-service cabins, comfortable lodge bunk space, and a fully-stocked kitchen, Mohican caters to those who appreciate value accommodations and prefer to bring or cook their own meals. The serene location provides peace and quiet for your group to focus on its training, and its proximity to several major cities, makes Mohican a great choice for a training location.
Mount Cardigan rises up out of the Shem Valley as a beacon for outdoor lovers. Hikers are drawn to its bare summit not only for views but also for the quiet forests that line its approach. Look for salamanders, mushrooms, and blueberries along the way. Waterfalls, a small pond for swimming, and a nature trail await young explorers. Winter adventurers will enjoy the many possibilities for snowshoeing and backcountry skiing.
Next to Mount Cardigan State Forest, Cardigan Lodge is located on a 1,200-acre reservation owned by AMC and features a peaceful, roads-end location. Explore our 50 miles of trails or simply relax on our deck or by the fireplace. Cardigan offers a choice of private rooms with private bath, private bunkrooms with shared bath, and individual and group walk-in tentsites. Cardigan is a great location for your group to bond, learn and grow during its training event.
For over 125 years, our hut system has offered hikers young and old a bunk for the night in spectacular locations, with all the necessities. Hike door-to-door with your sleep sacks and enjoy in-season, home-cooked dinner and breakfast (with vegetarian options), as well as cold running water and composting or waterless toilets.
In the White Mountains’ awe-inspiring Crawford Notch, you’ll lose all sense of time. With magnificent waterfalls, soaring cliffs, and surrounding forest, the natural world will draw you in. Hike to nearby peaks or take a quiet stroll around a mountain lake. Either way, the choice is yours.
The Highland Center is our premier White Mountain lodge and an ideal base for your White Mountain training. Able to accommodate up to 122 guests, the Highland Center provides individuals and groups a distinct function space for events of all types.
Our goal is to provide training events which best meet the needs of individual groups. We can tailor our programming to fit the size of your group and its goals and objectives.
Trainings can be as short as a couple of hours or as long as several days. We have worked with groups to facilitate workshops that are:
