Northeast Fall Foliage Tracker 2025: When and Where to See Peak Colors

By Jenny O'Connell,

It’s fall in the Northeast, and you know what that means—leaf-peeping season is here! From fiery reds and oranges to golden yellows, the region’s forests are about to put on their most spectacular show.

At AMC, we’ve been chasing these colors across the Northeast for generations, and we know how quickly the season shifts. That’s why we created our fall foliage tracker—a guide to where and when the leaves are changing, fueled by local weekly dispatches from AMC lodge staff and chapter leaders across our region. Whether you’re planning a day hike, a scenic bike ride, a guided adventure, or an overnight stay at one of our huts or lodges, our foliage tracker will help you catch the best fall colors and make the most of your autumn adventures.

Last updated: November 11, 2025

That’s a wrap — check back next fall for more live foliage updates!
