Your gift supports the critical work of dedicated crews who repair, reconstruct, and build trails that protect the lands that surround them.
Support our Trails

Your gift ensures that trail crews can complete work on two multi-year projects and create a new trail to increase access to the outdoors for all in the White Mountains:
- The Franconia Loop Trail Restoration Project and the Rumney Rocks Climber Access Trail Restoration Project are in their final year. These multi-year projects are coming to a close in 2026 with a focus on sustainable improvements that can withstand environmental impacts and stand up to the high volumes of visitor use at these iconic locations.
- Construction of a new All Persons Trail in Crawford Notch will provide access to the outdoors for visitors of all abilities. The All Persons Trail will incorporate rest areas, a gathering space on the shore of Ammonoosuc Lake, and interpretive signs that will educate visitors about AMC’s citizen science focused on studying climate change through plan phenology.

Your donation will also tackle large-scale restoration projects. For example:
- You’ll help AMC revolutionize human waste management in the backcountry by replacing 12 older composting privies with new, modern conveyor privies that increase sustainability, reduce maintenance and management, and improve the quality of the ecosystem in the White Mountains of New Hampshire.
- You’ll help AMC plan construction for the next All Persons Trail in Pinkham Notch in NH next year.
- You’ll help complete the boardwalk restoration project around Lonesome Lake in Franconia Notch State Park, NH.
- You’ll help complete several trail realignments to increase the long-term sustainability of the Liberty Trail on Mt Chocorua in NH.
- You’ll help to install over 200 new wayfinding trail signs across AMC’s Maine Woods hiking trail, ski trail, and gravel bike trail networks.
- You’ll tackle critical annual maintenance on over 500 miles of AMC-maintained trails across Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Connecticut—marking trails, clearing blowdowns, and repairing washouts.

Whether you choose to make a one-time gift, become a monthly sustainer, or pick an initiative that resonates with you, your tax-deductible gift will further the protection, enjoyment, and understanding of the outdoors.
