FallFest
Join us at one of three regional FallFest locations September 30th, 2023
FallFest is an AMC-wide celebration of all the things we love – outdoor experiences, friends, food, and fall! Join us this September as we create a memorable week outdoors leading up to our regional FallFest celebrations. Suggested registration fee is $20/family. Kids attend for free and non-members receive a complimentary one-year AMC membership!

- Mohican Outdoor Center in Blairstown, NJ
- Noble View Outdoor Center in Russell, MA

In addition to the two regional events, there will be a weekend celebration in Maine at AMC’s Medawisla Lodge that will begin on Friday 9/29, at 5 p.m. and end on Sunday, 10/1, early afternoon. Activities include hiking, mountain biking, paddling, and stargazing, led by Maine chapter leaders. Registration is also required for this event and will be posted to activities.outdoors.org later this month.
The AMC Maine Greenville office will be holding an open house event from 1 to 4 pm on Saturday, 9/30, in conjunction with FallFest, where AMC staff will be showcasing the work that is being done in that area, as well as having demos and ways to get involved locally with AMC.
How Can I Participate?
Each location will provide a variety of nearby activities, workshops, music, and presentations throughout the day all organized by local volunteer AMC leaders. There will be local hikes and walks, paddling, bike rides, birdwatching, first aid, and naturalist presentations, and more programs will be announced!
FallFest is a one day event, but if you are interested in overnight accommodations at any of the locations, please book online or call AMC reservations at 603-466-2727.
FallFest will follow a similar schedule at Mohican and Noble View Outdoor Centers:
- 10am – 4pm – Activities are scheduled throughout the day and may include hikes, workshops, and presentations
- 12pm – 2pm – BBQ lunch is provided at each location to participants and volunteers
- 4pm – Sunset – Late afternoon and evening activities, enjoy a campfire under the full moon while roasting marshmallows for s’mores
In addition, regional Chapter leaders will be offering hikes and other activities during the week leading up to September 30. Watch for #FallFest activities in your AMC social media and posted on the Activities Database to join FallFest outings close to home.
